Sun Girl

Sun Girl is a music video commissioned by Julia Holter for her single “Sun Girl,” released through Domino Records. The concept centers on a girl who avoids the sun despite its benefits, reflecting the tension between what is good for us and what feels most familiar. At the time, Julia was also a new mother and wanted a video to dedicate to her daughter. A key part of the visual development involved using AI-generated imagery as an early concepting tool. Surreal plant forms were first developed through Midjourney, then translated into 3D by modeling in Maya and texturing in Substance Painter.

Wipeout

Wipeout is a 2.5D film in progress about two robots racing to the finish line. Inspired in part by the myth of Sisyphus, it is a lighthearted story about an underdog who keeps going even when the odds are stacked against them. Visually influenced by Tadanori Yokoo and Redline, the film features high-contrast graphics and psychedelic color, brought to life through Arnold’s toon shaders.
